YES, I CHANGED…

Breaking after a point, 

And getting those pieces arranged,

Finding a newness within,

Yes, I changed.


Fumbling and stumbling around in the dark,

Where fears inside were never explained,

Caught hold of myself to stand again,

Yes, I changed. 


Not living for pleasing others anymore,

I took my soul away from being detained,

Flew away with dreams and desires,

Yes, I changed. 


Chasing and racing with people around,

I floundered away all drained,

Escaped all for a new beginning,

Yes, I changed.


Setting away all the worries and feeling of dismay,

I am learning how to happily sustain,

Pulling faith from storms and sunshine,

Yes, I changed.


Where now self love and self care exists,

I no more give myself to the places estranged,

And if celebrating life is a change,

Then Yes, I have changed....
